Mikko type catfish fish decoy wood carvings

These catfish were originally from a stringer of 3 catfish that measured approximately in sizes 8 to 15 inches long. They each had brown sisal twine running through their mouths so they could be displayed by hanging them up as you would a stringer of fish. They were made in China and sold in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s.
Bottoms had a “Made in China” paper label. As photo show, two have been converted to fish decoys. I see these catfish quite often sold individually on the Internet as one of a kinds, vintage to antique fish wood carvings and fish decoys with metal fins added and even a few as fishing lures with hooks added. There are also catfish done in the same style that measure approximately 24 inches long. As they say, buyer beware… John Gabriel
